Attend a FREE orientation and assessment to find out if you have what it takes to earn a Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification. Each Assessment and Orientation lasts approximately 1-1/2 hours.

MICROSOFT OFFICE SUITE® CLASSES

Gain the edge you need in today’s competitive job market. The Word and Excel courses are designed to provide learners with a wider knowledge of skills in each application, and the skills necessary to prepare them to take the MOS (Microsoft Office Specialist) exams for certification in Word and/or Excel. After completion of each of these courses, students will be prepared to perform a variety of tasks widely used in business offices.

A lab section is open to registrants of any of the MS Office suite courses. The lab section is designed to complete exercises as part of a course. The lab section also provides on-line exam preparation and pre-exam assessments for registrants in taking the MOS Certification exam.

MICROSOFT EXCEL 2013 - LEVEL 1

Prerequisite: Computer Typing (Minimum typing speed must be 25 wpm), and Introduction to Computers. Knowing how to use Excel is one of the most highly sought after skills in the workplace. Learn the basics of this versatile program and then some. Topics include entering data, navigating around a worksheet and workbook, creating formulas and functions, formatting cells, and creating charts. MICROSOFT EXCEL 2013 – TIPS AND TRICKS

Prerequisite: Computer Typing (Minimum typing speed must be 25 wpm) and Introduction to Computers. Expand your current skills in Excel by learning how to work with data on large spreadsheets. Topics include using tools for enhancing charts, navigating around large spreadsheets, using special functions to manipulate text, and data in columns. Get a feel for using tables and pivot tables to analyze data. No textbook is required.

Prerequisite: Students should have basic user knowledge of MS Word. Basic knowledge of Excel not required but helpful.
