HEXAGONS IN QUILTS
You will learn how to use paper hexagons to sew fabric hexagons by hand (English Paper Piecing) and by machine (Y seams). We will cut out and sew a few hexagons in class to make a small "flower." You may want to use your "sample" for another project (notebook cover, shopping bag, pillow, table topper…) or just use it as a practice piece. We will go over how to attach several of these flowers together to make a large quilt along with how to finish the edges. Please pick up a supply list before class by email or in person. Machine skills required; beginners to advanced quilters welcome. Students are responsible for their materials and a supply list is available to down here or at Alvarado Adult School.
